My Coding Journey

I started coding 2 years ago when I took an HTML course, since then I have improved and
learned many new programming languages. My dream is to work in a big tech company.
In my financial literacy project, I imagined that I would be working for google.
I hope this comes true and I also hope that my plans as I showed them on the
outlook page, work out as planned

myBlueprint - Who am I

These are my results from myBlueprint:

• Learning Styles

  • Visual - my visual skills are the strongest with 35%, but all my skills are equally well
    used. As a visual learner, I learn by looking and seeing. I like to take numerous detailed
    notes, tend to sit in the front, often close my eyes to visualize or remember something*,
    and benefit from illustrations and presentations that use colour.

  • Kinesthetic - my kinesthetic skills stand with 34%. People with kinesthetic skills,
    prefer to learn by touching and doing. They likely need to be active, take frequent
    breaks, and make gestures when they talk and explain something. Their preference is
    for hands-on experiences, tasks that involve manipulating materials, and they appreciate
    physically expressed encouragement when they communicate.

  • Auditory - my auditory skills are at 31%. Being an auditory
    learner means learning by hearing and listening. People that are auditory
    learners might prefer to listen to audio books or podcasts, hum or talk to
    themselves often when they are studying*, and enjoy acquiring knowledge by
    reading aloud. What is most important is that they hear what is being instructed.

  • Tips:
    • Underline or highlight key ideas in your notes
    • Use graphic organizers (i.e., mind map, Venn diagram, web)
    • Pause, and try to create a mental image in your mind, or pause, and draw a visual representation
    • Turn concepts into charts and diagrams

  • Overview - Inspectors have social skills but prefer to work independently or in small groups. They are well organized, and present in a easy to understand fashion. They focus on the main result rather than the wellness of the group. Though it is a skill that shows self determination, it makes people forget about the big picture. When working as part of a team, inspectors may be more concerned that everyone does their part to get the job done, rather than being concerned that everyone gets along. They also tend to see things as being “black and white” and are likely to be perceive as being opinionated*.

• Interests

  • Artistic - My artisistic interests are 65% of all of them. Artistic occupations
    require self-expression, creativity and usually feature work that can be
    done without following a clear set of rules*. These occupations usually require
    an environment where flexibility, variety and change are expected.

  • Conventional - My other 60% of interests are conventional. Conventional occupations
    focus on information and the tools required to analyze, organize and understand information.
    They also include activities such as creating plans, processes and routines. These occupations
    usually provide a well-organized environment where roles and tasks are clearly defined.

• Knowledge

  • Computers - I got 100% knowledge for computers. Computers courses help develop
    a deeper understanding of the world of computers. Topics may include:
    Computer Science and Computer Programming.

  • Business - I got 83% in business. A few topics may include: Accounting,
    Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
